Road and Track shared a video I made of an aircooled 911. Neat! I guess it’s time to make more videos of just cars driving with an emphasis on the audio.

Thanks. I’ve got some more planned out but I just need the time to go shoot them.

Thanks! Well it was a mix of microphones. I’m not home right now to look at the model numbers but I used a Rode shotgun mic, an Audio Technica lavaliere mic, and some on board mics from some cameras to pic up a bit of missing audio for some clips.

Sounds rather professional, no wonder it came out so well.
How hard was it to sync all the channels with the video?

Not hard at all. Once all the devices are running I just clap so I have an audio and visual reference to line up the clips however, some clips have audio that wasn’t from that shoot since the audio from that shoot was junk. So for those clips I just blended some audio in from another clip. Other clips had audio that was lacking in some frequency ranges so to compensate I would blend in audio from different devices to fatten up the sound a bit.
